I have lived in the Grand Valley of Colorado for over 3 years now. This is the first fall season that I have ever really noticed the Cottonwood trees. The lower valley floor around the Colorado River are absolutely stunning. The red rocks of the mesa and Bookcliff Mountains and the explosion of deep yellow foliage from the Cottonwood trees. Yesterday I was totally blown away by this shooting some in Connected Lakes State Park.
